World Science Day For Peace & Development
The World Science Day for Peace and Development (WSDPD) is celebrated worldwide annually on November 10th, to raise public awareness of the benefits of science for peaceful and sustainable societies. The WSDPD is also known as World Science Day. Established by UNESCO in 2001, the day was first celebrated on November 10th, 2002
The purpose of the World Science Day for Peace and Development is to renew the national, as well as the international commitment to science for peace and development and to stress the responsible use of science for the benefit of society. This day is also celebrated with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of science and to bridge the gap between science and societies.
The theme for this year will be “Quality Science Education: ensuring a sustainable future for all”
