The MyAgroSIS program introduced by MADA’s Non-Paddy and Non-Rice (IAT) Industry Division has opened the eyes of students from Universiti Utara Malaysia on how important a business is in the agricultural sector that is also categorized as a new source of wealth.
The program, which was held on December 19, 2017, was attended by 40 students from the College Of Business (COB), Universiti Utara Malaysia and is headed by Senior Lecturer, Dr. Rozana has undergone a rice cultivation technology practical training course at the MADA Training Center, Alor Sedang.
More interestingly, when students from different races participated in the program were introduced about the role of the Muda Agriculture Development Authority (MADA). They do rice cultivation activities from the early stages. Various questions were asked by students about the paddy industry.
The main focus of MADA in the future is the emphasis on paddy planting activities. If it is not proven that farmers can get a return on agricultural produce, there may be many youths who are not interested in agriculture.
