Dato ‘Seri Haji Abdul Hadi B. Awang, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to the Middle East held a Working Visit & Session to Engage with Farmers in the Muda Area at the MADA Ampang Jajar Headquarters. Also present YB. Tuan Haji Awang Hashim, Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Deputy Speaker of the Kedah State Assembly, State Government Exco-Exco, State Assembly Members, MADA officials and farmers from the Muda Area.
Dato ‘Seri Duta Khas has completed the planting of “weeping willow” trees as a symbolic working visit to MADA. He was then taken to the MADA Business Development Center (BDC) to be briefed on the development of MADA agriculture for almost 50 years of establishment.
The program continued with a Session to Manage the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to the Middle East with MADA Farmers. In his speech, he suggested that MADA continue to intensify the potential of technology in the development and management of the agricultural industry as is done in European countries and the middle east. He added that improving agricultural technology will benefit the increase in agricultural yields as well as ensure the country’s food security.
Dato ‘Seri had time to answer some questions posed in the dialogue session between the farmer leaders in the Muda Area. The ceremony ended with the presentation of souvenirs by the Chairman of MADA who represented all MADA staff and farmers in the Muda Area to YB. Dato ’Seri Haji Abdul Hadi B. Awang.
