BACKGROUND
The Information Planning and Technology Division (BPTM) is one of the ten (10) divisions in MADA created after the restructuring of the MADA organization in June 2015. This division is primarily responsible for matters related to the planning, coordination and monitoring of MADA programs and projects, implement current studies as well as the development of Information Technology network and infrastructure.
As a part that acts in carrying out planning tasks at MADA, BPTM has a special section under the Planning and Development Branch and the Research and Statistics Branch to perform the tasks of coordinating data towards social planning and development in the MADA area. This is because the planning and policies that will be formulated by national policy makers depend on accurate current data and statistics. A policy and policy will be easier to implement through the support of quality and authentic basic data.
In the era of globalization and the rapid development of information technology the need for accurate statistical data is so important. Based on the functions of the division that combines the Planning and Information Technology Branch, all agricultural data and statistics become easier to collect, analyze and report to those in need because there are ICT technology facilities in the Planning and Information Technology Division.
The total number of BPTM posts approved is 37 positions. In 2020, a total of 28 positions were filled, 1 position was loaned to another division and 8 positions were still vacant.
