Water Recycling

Irrigation is integral to a good yield in agriculture. MADA meets this need with the Muda Irrigation Scheme.
Through careful investigation and planning, a system using electrical submersible pumps was implemented in the Muda area in 1984. This program enables drainage water to be recycled for strategic agricultural areas. Up to now, the recycling pump capacity is 1200 ft3 per second built in 24 stations. All the recycling pumps contribute 17% of the water released from the reservoirs without any impact on the environment.
