“Majlis Amanat Tahun 2014 MADA”
Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA) held Majlis Amanat Pengerusi 2014 on 23rd January 2014 at Dewan Syed Nahar, MADA Headquaters, Alor Setar, Kedah.
500 MADA’s officers attended the event consists of headquaters, regional officers and Area Farmers Organization received the ‘amanat’ from the Chairman of MADA, Dato’ Othman bin Haji Aziz
In the ‘Amanat’, Dato’ Othman bin Haji Aziz outlined the success of MADA during 2013 such as the paddy yield average has increased to 6.56 ton/hectare for season 1/2013 compared to the previous average; produced 2,309 entrepreneurs from agro-based industries and agro-based that achieved RM81 million sales of combined income.
Beside that, MADA has achieved 5 star website assesment in Malaysia for 2013; and has won awards during Hari Peladang, Penternak and Nelayan Kebangsaan and Hari Peladang Negeri Kedah, and also Negeri Perlis. MADA has successfully developed MADATV as an information network to the public, the farmers and entrepreneurs at Kawasan Muda
He said that MADA will help to solve the middlemen encrouchment consistent to that Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry planning; to protect the farmer’s future especially in sub-sector of paddy and rice. He also asked MADA to continue the NBOS program (National Blue Ocean Strategy) and “My Kampung My Future” program, and also implement “Touch Points” program that can give positive impact in solving rakyat’s problem.
