MADA Water Supply Meeting
MADA Water Supply meeting was held on 12 September 2013 inDewan Syed Nahar, Ibu Pejabat MADA.
MADA Chairman, Dato` Othman bin Aziz the meeting is held twice a year before the paddy planting begins.
He added that the main purpose of the meeting is to disseminate information relating to the performance of Paddy Cultivation Season 1/2013 which gave a harvest of 53.3% until 28 August 2013 and setting Paddy Planting Season Schedule 2/2013 that will begin on 19 September 2013.
In addition, he said rainfall for year 2013 is satisfy and water retention in the Pedu Dam is at 59.0% of the full reservoir.
He hoped that for 55 thousand farmers will follow the schedule of water supply and also always sensitive and aware of environmental conditions, especially on paddy crops.
He was speaking after chairing a meeting of the MADA Water Supply Meeting.
Also present at the meeting was the General Manager of MADA, Dato` Haji Abdul Rahim bin Saleh, Deputy General Manager (Agriculture) MADA, Dato` Haji Roslee bin Baharom and Deputy General Manager (Technical) MADA, IR. Hor Tek Lip.
